Havana - Cuba

Welcome to an unforgettable painting vacation in Havana, Cuba with Donnah Cameron II.

Havana is the exotic capital of Cuba and largest city in the Caribbean and is a must-see for any visitor and especially for an artist. From our location right in the heart of Havana you will find a painting at every turn. For centuries, it has served as the gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. In 1982, Old Havana, the city’s historic centre, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Nearly three million people live in Havana, which has the country’s most important airport and is the seat of the central government. It is also noted for its fascinating history, night life and architecture. Havana is marked by world-class universities, hotels, theatres, museums, restaurants, night clubs, cultural and recreational centre, parks, squares, science institutes and sports facilities. Not to be missed are historical sites such as Morro Castle, the Malecon, Cathedral Square, Central Park, the Capital building, La Rampa, the white-domed Coppelia ice cream parlor, Revolution Square, the Tropicana Nightclub and many more. Hemingway’s favourite hangouts are still there too.

On painting days we will go right out the front door of our Hotel and start painting with a demo and plenty of encouragement and instruction from Donnah in the beautiful Central Park and surrounding areas.
